New locker system at Zug station

The SBB CFF FFS and the company INTECH-ICS AG have been working for years on the new locker systems for customers. The latest locker system is now located at Zug train station.

Customers can deposit their luggage – whether small or large bags – centrally at the train station (at the taxi stand). The lockers are operated centrally via a payment terminal. Additionally, a specially developed lighting system with rodent protection is in use.

It accepts CHF coins and the most common credit cards. A significant advantage is that the lockers can be operated without keys. A receipt with a QR code is generated, which allows the user to reopen the selected locker.

In case of a lost ticket, there is no need to change a lock; instead, SBB staff have the option to print a duplicate for a fee, allowing the customer to retrieve their luggage.
