New locker system at MGB Andermatt station
On May 17, 2022, the Matterhorn Gotthard Bahn MGB took over the new locker system at the Andermatt train station.
Customers can now deposit their luggage – whether small or large bags – centrally at the station.
The lockers are operated centrally via a payment station. It accepts CHF coins and the most common credit cards. A significant advantage is that the lockers are operated without keys. A receipt with a barcode is generated, which can be used to retrieve the selected locker. In case of a lost ticket, there is no need to change a lock; instead, MGB staff have the option to print a duplicate for a fee, allowing the customer to retrieve their luggage.
