Explosion-proof Glass with Polycarbonate: SICURTEC_BLAST
Safety Glass Polycarbonate: Redefining the Limits of Physics
The SICURTEC_BLAST safety glass polycarbonate is your reliable explosion protection in critical situations where severe explosions may occur.
Reality has taught us that the risk of explosions – whether due to accidents or terrorist acts – has significantly increased. Explosive pressure waves that far exceed normal wind loads destroy conventional glass and endanger lives. However, this does not apply to the explosion-proof barrier that SICURTEC_BLAST offers.
Advantages of Explosion-Proof Glass
Our explosion-resistant glazing has proven itself in tests and comes with many additional benefits alongside certification:
- Effective explosion protection even against detonations of 2.5 tons of TNT from a distance of 49 meters
- A weight of only 46 kg/m² at a thickness of 23 mm
- Easy installation due to the low weight, feasible without lifting equipment
- Shatterproof properties under explosion pressure
Applications of Safety Glass Polycarbonate
SICURTEC_BLAST is used wherever transparent and reliable protection against severe explosions is essential.
- Munition depots
- Facilities of the petrochemical industry
- Research institutions for nuclear energy
- High-security areas such as vaults
- Court buildings, bank branches, and other critical infrastructure facilities
Additional options for explosion-proof glass
Our SICURTEC_BLAST safety glass can be customized with numerous additional options to ensure maximum functionality:
- White glass for perfect color fidelity
- Insulated glazing for optimal thermal insulation
- Alarm glazing with integrated security loop
- Fire protection glazing with extreme heat resistance
- One-sided mirrored glasses for discretion
