New luggage-locking compartment system in St. Moritz
At the end of April 2021, the Rhaetian Railway RhB was allowed to take over the new locker system on track 1 at St. Moritz station.
Customers can now store their luggage – whether small or large bags – centrally at the station.
The lockers are managed centrally via a payment point. This accepts CHF coins and the most common credit cards. A big advantage is that the lockers can be operated without a key. A receipt with a barcode is created, which can be used to unlock the selected locker. If a ticket is lost, there is no need to replace the lock; instead, RhB employees can print a duplicate for a fee, so that the customer can unlock their luggage again.
