DCW Submersible DC to DC LVDT Displacement Transducer
These measuring transducers are used for distance/position measurement. They perform an accurate position measurement of the movement of the armature (the sliding part) relative to the body of the displacement transducer.
This measuring transducer uses the LVDT principle (Linear Variable Differential Transformer), which means it is likely the most robust and reliable type of position sensor on the market. The strength of the LVDT sensor principle lies in the fact that there is no electrical contact across the position sensing element of the displacement transducer, which means clean data, infinite resolution, and a very long lifespan for the user of the sensor.
Our DC/DC LVDT measuring transducer has all the advantages of the LVDT sensor principle with the added convenience of integrated LVDT electronics, allowing for DC power supply and DC output. As an option, we can offer a 4-20mA 2-wire connection to the measuring transducer for some models.
Our submersible displacement transducers are designed to perform measurements while immersed in suitable liquids. Non-magnetic liquids can flood the anchor tube without affecting the operation of the measuring transducer.
This series of displacement transducers is available in either a non-guided, non-losing, or spring-loaded version.
