GT Precision LVDT Gauging Transducer
These measuring transducers are used for displacement/position measurement. They perform an accurate position measurement of the movement of the armature (the sliding part) relative to the body of the displacement transducer.
This measuring transducer operates according to the LVDT principle (Linear Variable Differential Transformer), which means it is likely the most robust and reliable type of position sensor on the market. The strength of the LVDT sensor principle lies in the fact that there is no electrical contact through the position sensing element of the displacement transducer, which means clean data, infinite resolution, and a very long lifespan for the user of the sensor.
The GT series measuring transducers use precision linear bearings to optimize the measurement accuracy and repeatability of the LVDTs.
