PY Extreme Environment Non-Contact Displacement Transducer
The non-contact displacement transducer PY measures the distance between its front surface and a target made of ferromagnetic material. A ferromagnetic material is a material that is attracted by a magnet.
This sensor is suitable for position measurements in high temperatures, high pressure, and high core radiation. Many applications in turbines, nuclear power plants, and research laboratories are suitable for this sensor.
There are two types of PY transducers, a single coil version (which must be used in pairs) and a double coil version, which can be used alone.
Since the output signal of the PY is not linear, linearization may be required depending on the application. Our amplifier 615 is designed for this purpose.
