The SBB CFF FFS and the company INTECH-ICS AG have been working for years on the new locker systems for customers. The latest locker system is now located in Fribourg.

Customers can now deposit their luggage – whether small or large bags – centrally at the train station. The lockers are managed centrally through a payment terminal.

It accepts CHF coins and the most common credit cards. A major advantage is that the lockers can be operated without keys. A receipt with a barcode is generated, which can be used to retrieve the selected locker.

In case of a lost ticket, there is no need to change a lock; instead, SBB staff have the option to print a duplicate for a fee, allowing the customer to retrieve their luggage.
