Color and LED lighting create an appealing eye-catcher.The Hammerglass panes can be screen printed or digitally printed, so there are no limits to the individual design options.The discs can be provided with municipal coats of arms or patterns that are repeated at regular intervals.For larger plate series, there is the possibility of producing colored impregnated hammer glass.A printed or color-impregnated hammered glass pane with LED lighting forms an attractive point of light in the dark at night.

No bridge is like the other.In densely populated areas a noise abatement solution is often required, while in other cases a splash guard or fall protection may be preferable.

NOISE PROTECTION

The BRIDGE-2 and BRIDGE-3 systems are complete noise barrier systems for mounting on bridges along roads or railways.Depending on the design of the bridge, the constructions are attached to the bridge posts or to the side of the bridge edge beam.

SPRAY GUARD

The robust Hammerglass mudguard is designed for multi-level viaducts/intersections.The sloping post system is based on the same principle as Hammerglass' electrical shields.The construction is usually screwed to the side of the bridge edge beam, but the post system can also be mounted with a base plate under the railing post for bridge renovations or new construction projects.

Railway bridges usually require particularly strong construction solutions to withstand the vibrations and wind pressure of the passing trains.The Hammerglass BRIDGE and GROUND noise protection systems meet the high requirements for stability and safety when installed along railway lines.

SILENCER ON THE WALL

GROUND-2 is a CE marked noise barrier system using proven steel and Hammerglass fastening solutions.GROUND-2 is designed for mounting on walls using screw groups.

When the Hammerglass GROUND system is mounted on a railway bridge, all barriers are provided with ground bars and each section is grounded separately.A 45-degree bend at the top of the Hammerglass panels reinforces the structure while helping to effectively reduce low-frequency noise from trains.

PASSENGER WALKWAYS

Since most of the construction work is to be carried out while traffic is moving along the tracks, it is necessary that most of the structures near the track area can be fully assembled and then lifted into position.

Hammerglass assemblers fit all the panes in place while the steel skeleton is on the ground, and then lift the entire structure into place.This type of lifting would be almost impossible with ordinary glass, since movements in the overall structure would lead to glass breakage.

All panes are individually measured and manufactured so that installation will go smoothly even if the final design does not match the drawing 100%.

GUARDS FOR RAILWAYS

A modern electrical canopy construction to cover overhead lines.The electrical protective shield is strength-calculated for snow and wind loads as well as wind loads from passing trains.The construction conforms to the electrical safety guidelines for electrical canopy constructions for installation over railway tracks.The construction blends into the environment while providing a solid barrier against live wires.

PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLIST BRIDGE

Flexible solutions for pedestrian and cyclist bridges.Mounted on existing structures or with a fixing system suitable for the pedestrian and cyclist bridge project.The Hammerglass panels are individually manufactured after assembly of the supporting structure.The discs can be supplied clear, opal, colored or printed and fitted with LED lighting.

THE ENTIRE BRIDGE CAN BE LIFTED INTO PLACE

In order for the discs to fit perfectly, all measurements are taken after the assembly of the steel structure of the bridge.All Hammerglass panels can therefore be sized in a parallel trapezoid to closely follow the contours of the ground and skyline.

Hammerglass panels are manufactured to exact dimensions and assembled on site at the factory or on site.Once assembly is complete, the individual bridge parts - or the entire bridge - are lifted into place with a crane.Even if the constructions are stable, this type of lifting would be almost impossible with ordinary glass, since movements in the overall construction would lead to glass breakage.

With Hammerglass in the design, the time the roadway or track area has to be closed to assemble the bridge is reduced to a minimum.

CUSTOMIZED FASTENING SYSTEMS

Hammerglass is happy to be actively involved in the construction phase of the bridge to ensure correct anchoring and sizing.

Once the supporting structure is complete, Hammerglass panels can usually be mounted directly into it.If the structure needs to be supplemented with fastening details, we will help to develop suitable proposals.

COLOR, PRINT & LIGHTING

The preferred solution for pedestrian and bicycle bridges is a clear or opal Hammerglass sheet.However, the possibilities for individual design are largely unlimited in terms of design, color and lighting.

• The plates can be screen printed with screen printing or customized patterns to prevent bird collision
• Hammer glass with blue grid printing and LED lighting results in a bridge that is transparent during the day but glows blue in the evening darkness
• The LED lighting in the handrail can be aimed at the Hammerglass panels for night time illumination
• Variable LED creates impressive effects
• For larger series, Hammerglass plates can be supplied color impregnated

Design and assembly
