Color and LED lighting create an attractive eye-catcher. The Hammerglass panes can be printed using screen printing or digital printing, so there are no limits to the individual design options. The panes can be provided with municipal coats of arms or patterns that repeat at regular intervals. For larger series of panels, it is possible to produce color-impregnated Hammerglass. A printed or color-impregnated Hammerglass pane with LED lighting creates an attractive point of light in the darkness of night.

No two bridges are the same. In densely populated areas, a noise-reducing solution is often needed, while in other cases a splash guard or fall protection system may be preferable.

NOISE PROTECTION

The BRIDGE-2 and BRIDGE-3 systems are complete noise barrier systems for installation on bridges along roads or railway lines. Depending on the design of the bridge, the structures are attached to the bridge posts or to the side of the bridge edge beam.

SPRAY GRATING

The robust Hammerglass splash guard was developed for viaducts/crossings with carriageways on multiple levels. The inclined post system is based on the same principle as Hammerglass's electrical protection shields. The structure is usually bolted to the side of the bridge edge beam, but in bridge renovations or new construction projects the post system can also be mounted with a base plate under the railing post.

Railway bridges usually require particularly stable construction solutions to withstand the vibrations and wind pressure of passing trains. The Hammerglass BRIDGE and GROUND sound insulation systems meet the high requirements for stability and safety when installed along railway lines.

SILENCER ON THE WALL

GROUND-2 is a CE-marked noise barrier system with proven solutions for fixing steel and hammer glass. GROUND-2 is designed for mounting on walls using screw groups.

When the Hammerglass GROUND system is installed on a railway bridge, all barriers are provided with earthing bars and each section is earthed separately.A 45-degree curve at the top of the Hammerglass panels strengthens the structure while helping to effectively reduce low-frequency noise from trains.

PASSENGERS' BRIDGES

Since the entire construction work is to be carried out while traffic is still running on the tracks, it is necessary that most structures can be fully assembled near the track area and then lifted into position.

Hammerglass's fitters fit all the panes in place while the steel skeleton is on the ground, then lift the entire structure into position. This type of lifting would be almost impossible with ordinary glass, as any movement in the overall structure would result in glass breakage.

All panes are individually measured and manufactured so that installation runs smoothly even if the final construction does not correspond 100% to the drawing.

PROTECTIVE SHIELDS FOR RAILWAYS

A modern, electrical protective roof structure for covering overhead lines. The electrical protective shield is strength-calculated for snow and wind loads as well as for the wind load from passing trains. The structure complies with the electrical safety guidelines for electrical protective roof structures for installation over railway tracks. The structure blends into the environment and at the same time forms a solid barrier against live lines.

PEDESTRIAN AND CYCLE BRIDGE

Flexible solutions for pedestrian and bicycle bridges.Installation on existing structures or with a fastening system suitable for the pedestrian and cycle bridge project. The Hammerglass panels are individually manufactured after the supporting structure has been assembled. The panels can be supplied clear, opal, colored or printed and can be fitted with LED lighting.

THE ENTIRE BRIDGE CAN BE LIFTED INTO PLACE

To ensure the panels fit perfectly, all measurements are taken after the steel structure of the bridge has been assembled. All Hammerglass panels can therefore be cut to size in a parallel trapezoid to closely follow the contours of the ground and skyline.

The Hammerglass panels are made to exact dimensions and assembled on site in the factory or on the construction site. Once assembly is complete, the individual bridge sections - or the entire bridge - are lifted into place using a crane. Even if the structures are stable, this type of lifting would be almost impossible with ordinary glass, as movements in the overall structure would lead to glass breakage.

With Hammerglass in the design, the time required to close the roadway or track area to install the bridge is reduced to a minimum.

CUSTOMIZED FASTENING SYSTEMS

Hammerglass is happy to be actively involved in the construction phase of the bridge to ensure correct fastening and dimensioning.

Once the supporting structure is ready, Hammerglass panels can usually be installed directly into it. If the structure needs to be supplemented with fastening details, we will help develop suitable proposals.

COLOR, PRINT & LIGHTING

The preferred solution for pedestrian and bicycle bridges is a clear or opal hammer glass panel. However, the possibilities for customization are almost unlimited in terms of design, color and lighting.

• The panels can be screen printed with raster prints or individual patterns to prevent bird collisions
• Hammer glass with blue screen printing and LED lighting creates a bridge that is transparent during the day but glows blue in the evening darkness

The screen can be tilted at any angle, depending on individual requirements in terms of sound reflection, light reflection and snow accumulation.
