Safety glass for travel centers - Hammerglass

Permanently unbreakable glazing solutions for travel centers, bus stations and train platforms. Both the light weight and hard surface of Hammerglass make it an excellent choice for roofs, walls, elevators, etc. The nanotechnology surface treatment makes it easy to remove graffiti and also offers 99.96% UV protection, meaning the material will not discolor or experience any other change in optical quality over time. The estimated lifespan of Hammerglass is more than 40 years.

Flexible vandal-proof glass solutions

Hammerglass offers unbreakable glazing solutions for roofs, walls, platforms, lifts and balustrades. Clear or coloured Hammerglass panels up to 6 metres long and 4-20 mm thick offer customers and architects great freedom in project design and construction. If larger sections are to be glazed, the individual panels can be connected to one another.

The fastening can be carried out using clamp profiles, Hammerglass Fixpoints or project-specific fastening solutions. Fixpoints can also be used to create a gap between the wall and the glazing pane.

A further advantage is that the glazing material can only be cut after the basic structure has been assembled, with each glazing cutout and each fastening element being individually measured with a 3D laser and then transferred to a CAD drawing for production.

Crystal-clear wall sections and roof structures with hammer glass panes that are mounted on existing structures or project-specific profiles, e.g. an L-profile with clamping profiles in the glass joints for watertight sealing. Each section to be glazed is individually measured and the glass panes are then cut to size.

Glass for stairwells and elevators

Entire external elevator towers with heights of up to 10 meters or just a stair railing? We have shatter-proof glass solutions for stairs, escalators and elevator connections - either in existing systems or in completely new steel structures. Mounting the handrails directly in the Hammerglass panes works very well.

After the steel structure has been assembled, measurements are taken to ensure the Hammerglass panels fit perfectly. The glazing panels are fixed throughout using the Hammerglass Fixpoint system to ensure optimum strength.

Glazed walkways and waiting rooms

Entire construction projects are often carried out while the railway is still in operation. This means that it must be possible to erect most structures right next to the track area and then lift them into place. Our fitters install the screens while the steel skeleton is still on the ground and then lift the entire structure. This type of lifting is practically impossible with ordinary glass, as any movement in the structure would result in glass breakage.

All panes were individually measured and manufactured. Even if the steel construction does not match the drawing 100%, the panes can be installed smoothly.

Undamaged and clean weather protection

Modular, shatter-proof bus shelters from Hammerglass, replacing glass in existing platform shelters or glazing in a completely new structure. Hammerglass panels are flexible and can be shaped to fit curved profiles.

Safe pedestrian underpasses and bicycle tunnels

Illuminated pedestrian underpasses not only provide a safer environment and greater security, they are also visually appealing. An opal, colour-impregnated or printed hammer glass pane with LED lighting creates an attractive point of light in the darkness of night.

In case of graffiti, markings or other dirt, most common cleaning agents and chemicals can be used to clean without damaging the Hammerglass panes.
