PY Extreme Environment Non-Contact Displacement Transducer
The PY non-contact displacement transducer measures the distance between its face and a target made of ferritic material. A ferritic material is a material that is attracted to a magnet.
This sensor is suitable for position measurements at high temperatures, high pressure and high nuclear radiation. Many applications in turbines, in nuclear power plants and in research laboratories are suitable for this sensor.
There are two types of PY converters, a single coil version (which must be used in pairs) and a dual coil version which can be used alone.
Because the output of the PY is non-linear, linearization may be required depending on the application. Our amplifier 615 is designed for this.
