The MP23 is a robust contactless rotary potentiometer. The device can be used for absolute positioning applications in harsh environments.

The sensor provides an analog, radiometric voltage output with an amplitude of 0..5 Vdc or 0.5 to 4.5 Vdc, proportional to the angular position of the shaft. The sensor's sensing principle is based on a magnetic sensing principle. The potentiometer consists of two separate parts: the sensing unit and the magnet itself. Sensing is contactless and has no wearing parts. The sensor's service life is therefore significantly longer than that of conventional potentiometers.
The potentiometer is powered by a 5Vdc supply and is available with an axial cable output. The cable length can be specified upon ordering. The sensor has a diameter of only 22 millimeters, making it useful for use in space-critical applications.
The active angle of the sensor, z.BThe full scale range (0..5Vdc) can be configured when ordering. This means the full scale range can be provided between 20º and 360º, depending on the application requirements.
