ZCode safety switch

Non-contact coded safety switches certified according to EN ISO 14119, type 4: ZCode

Non-contact coded safety switches are designed for use on protective doors, sliding protective grilles or protective covers, as they are found in numerous applications, e.g. on machine tools or on flaps in the food industry. Opening the door automatically leads to the safe shutdown of the system.

All safety switches in the ZCode series work contact-free using a coded magnet system with a large switching distance and large tolerance to offset on the protective door. Activation can only take place with the actuator included in the scope of delivery. The switching status is indicated by an LED.

The main advantage compared to mechanical safety switches is the simple installation, the small design and the high level of protection against dirt and moisture. In addition, they work wear-free and thus minimize maintenance costs.

ZANDER safety switches are characterized by their high level of protection against manipulation. They are TÜV type-tested and can be used up to the highest security level PLe.

They are completely dust and water-proof (IP 67/69K). The difference lies in the different housing designs. For example, the ZCode E series (see the section on coded stainless steel safety switches) has a stainless steel housing for increased temperature requirements or when high chemical resistance to environmental influences is required.

Due to the higher hygiene requirements, they are also predestined for use in the Food (packaging) industry!
